Almost over

Wow. I did not realize it's been soooo long since my last post. It would be an understatement to say that the last couple of months have been hectic. It was really great to have family visit for the holidays. After they left, the house felt a little quieter. And without my usual nanny available, life got a whole lot busier for me.

Anyway, I need to go back in time to cover the past. We were fortunate to have some pleasantly mild weather while my dad was here. We didn't do a lot during their visit, but we did manage to get out to the park, the bouncy house playland, and have some outside fun. The boys had a blast playing with their grandparents and also their aunt. She may be a few months younger than them, but she was definitely able to hold her own and show them a thing or two.

Many days and evenings were spent at home and that was okay by me. Catching up with family is always a valuable pastime.

And just for good measure, I can't forget to include some super cute pictures of Sebi. He is really a delightful baby, most of the time. He still wakes up in the night and that's not so fun, but I know it won't last, so I just roll with it and remember that he is my last baby who will need me in the night. That gets me through. In other news, he is trying to talk. He doesn't really say any actual words yet, but his babbling is filled with intent. I can hardly wait until he starts using real words. His favorite thing to do is copy his brothers and try to play their big boy games. Joaquin and Jacob try to let him in on the fun sometimes, but Sebi does irritate them sometimes. I guess it's natural. Little brothers always find a way to annoy their big brothers. Right now Sebi is a big eater. Even though he still hasn't popped out any teeth, that doesn't stop him from chewing his food with his gums. He gets very upset if I don't feed him whatever his big brothers are eating. He has even started trying to feed himself as he his grabbing utensils out of my hands more and more these days.

I am ashamed to say that I haven't taken any pictures at all since then. I spend a lot of time getting my normal day to day things done and playing with the boys is one of those things. Carrying the camera and taking pictures of 3 active boys has not been on my list of things to do. It should have been though. Sebi has grown so much and changed so much in the past few months. He's my last baby and I don't want to miss documenting his precious life because I'm busy. Will definitely be better about that from now on.

......especially because Javier is coming home!! He will be home very soon. Less than a week. It's hard to believe that 7 months have passed. It seems much longer to me. I think back to when Jacob broke his arm a few weeks after Javier left. Jacob broke his arm, my father in law came for a visit, and Jacob had surgery and a cast for 6 weeks. That time seems soooooo long ago. And all this time has passed. Sebi is nothing like the baby Javier left. It will be fun to see them get reacquainted. The next time I post on here, our family will be reunited and then the crazy times will really begin. We do plan to have some family time together, but then we are off to New York to look for a home. Then we come back to get ready for our move. Then we move up to New York in early April. Thank goodness my father in law will be coming to help us out. We will surely need it. Then we'll be settling into our new digs and Javier will start learning the ropes at his new job. The adventures ahead are exciting and I can hardly wait to start the next chapter of our life. I hope to document it all here. And while I don't know who still reads this blog, I hope anyone that does enjoys it.
