Second Trimester

Ok folks, I know it's been a long time since my last good post. Life has been busy here and well.... there hasn't been much to report.

We are finally in our second trimester. A couple of days shy of 14 weeks actually. Our doctor's appointment the other day went well. Even though I'm still not gaining weight, my belly is still pooching out a little and the ultrasound showed that the babies are growing appropriately. They are 3 1/4 inches in length, both equal size, with good amniotic sacs. Both had heartbeats and we even got to hear it this time. I saw one of the babies move too. It's too early to feel their movements, but I'm sure that's not too far away. My pregnancy symptoms are different daily. I have good days where I'm hardly nauseated at all, but I'm really sleepy. And other days that I'm sick to my stomach all day with a horrible headache. And still other days that I just feel normal. I'm hoping my appetite gets better, but I'm sure it will in time. We will see our doctor one last time before we move. After that, we'll have to find a new doctor in Virginia.

On that subject, the move is coming faster than I would like it to. I have stopped working but haven't had much energy to tackle the huge list of things that need to get done for this move. I know it will all get done somehow, but right now it's stressing me out. Our movers are coming this Wednesday and Thursday. Then we're leaving for our cruise on Friday. A good friend of ours is house sitting and cat sitting. I'm just really looking forward to the cruise. I want to relax and just enjoy having nothing to do. It'll be great, I hope.

I think Javier is still in a little denial about our move. He has been working and saying goodbye to friends. He went fishing for the last time with his fishing buddy. Today, he'll go golfing for the last time with his golfing buddy. But after that, it's GO time. He has a long to-do list that will take longer to complete that he thinks. Hmm..... the next few days will be interesting.

In other news, I found out my grandmother was in the hospital recently. Her heart was having a little trouble, but I think the problem has been found. The doctors tweaked her medications and hopefully she won't have any more issues with that.

Well, that's all for now. I need to get started on my to-do list while I have some energy.
